    Not sure why this app is so limited on the songs. I don’t think it’s worth the subscription yet. Guess I’ll just sit and wait for more songs to come on it.

    The concept of this app is really cool. I like to layout and I like what seems like a competition with other players to play your best. What I don't like is when you're playing along with the notes on your screen I know I'm hitting them perfectly and I'm getting a low percentage result due to the fact of it not registering. Sometimes I have to hit the notes just a little bit before the screen says I'm supposed to and other times I hit them right on in their perfect and other times I have to hit them just a little after. And it's been multiple times that I havecorrectly hit the note and it tells me I hit the wrong note. So to say the least I really like this app but it's very frustrating

    Play it everyday - making rapid progress - lessons are broken into really good sizes and levels - has tons of guides for learning to improvise solos and jam to backing tracks - which I could not figure out with other apps - has amazing sound in app - especially good sound for beginners - I’m at intermediate level now - getting a lot of good practice with string bends - riffs - solos - scales - it’s like this app was designed for me. Thanks so much for all the work done with the app.

    This app makes so much fun. You can’t stop once you start. Learning with this app is really easy. The levels are perfect and make you start easy. The variety of songs is great. It has something for everybody. The tuner and build in amp is a nice addition. Worth every penny!!!

    It’s an ok app, great in theory. The practice system is great and if I could I would continue to use this app. Unfortunately the vast majority of lessons, songs and other features are locked behind paywalls essentially making a beginner friendly app not so beginner friendly. A free trial of the premium experience is offered but for beginners who may struggle, they might waste the premium experience and then be locked out of the things that will help them improve. If the majority of practice sessions weren’t locked behind a paywall this app would be perfect for new guitar players.

  • False advertisement, Came for 14 day trial and only giving me option for 7 days

    I just bought an epiphone hummingbird electric acoustic and it came with a sheet of paper saying claim your 14 day trial but it didn’t have any codes or anything, just says download the app. I download the app and its only 7 day trial.So, not a good start because Ifeel like I already faced false advertisement and im hesitant to commit to this particular app and just not go with the others. Honestly a huge turn off

    I use the Gibson app on an Mac using a Focusrite Scarlet 2i2 audio interface (audio plays through monitor speakers and fender mustang amp). This allows me to not have to use headphones with the app. My review comes from using this setup. The interface registers notes accurately while using the app. I am able to play through each lesson and all songs found in the catalog without any issue. The apps performance can be jittery at times, but I don't find it to be too troublesome. I usually just start the song over. The song catalog is great and I really enjoy all the different genres of music in the catalog. I really hope they continue to add more. As an adult learner, I do have trouble with timing. I know there is a practice mode, but I find it cumbersome and limited in that you can't increment the speeds more finely. It would be nice to be able to increment the speed by 10%, 20%, 30%, 40%, so forth and so on. The lessons are great, and I have seen improvement in my playing since starting to use the application. The app is worth the effort and I do recommend it as a learning tool. I would like to see more lessons on Music Theory, such as learning more scales, triads, the circle of fifths, and improvision over backing tracks. I feel in addition to the great content that exists would fill many gaps and provide users a more rounded understanding of the guitar. Lastly, from the perspective of being an audio interface user, I wish the app provided more support for fine tuning the performance when using the audio interface. But I do realize the focus is more on a mobile learning experience. One can wish though :)

  • Couple Problems

    The app is fun and works great but could you add a couple of stuff? It will really be a dig improvement if you add these two things… - Please provide a little warm up for when you get into the app? I am really busy and sometimes don’t have enough time to play my guitar and jumping straight into what I was learning can be challenging and frankly extremely upsetting. - Can you also make levels that know your skill level specifically and will help you to open new areas with confidence. When I follow the main course, it just assumes my skill level and puts me on the course everybody takes. Adding these would definitely enhance your app and make the fee that we all pay worth it! Oh also I forgot, will you PLEASE add a feature that teaches you how to read sheet music notes so if we want to go professional, we can? One more thing, you should add a feature where you can create your own music and play it so if you ever forget it, you can come straight back to it.

    I thought I was getting a 7 day free trial but was charged 139.99 to my bank account today after 1 day only. What a scam I was planning to sign up monthly as that’s what’s in my budget but now I will be filing with my back the fraud charge.
