  • Challenging but good

This is hard compared to something like DuoLingo but I’m learning a lot. It’s a good way to push yourself but it’s kind of stressful for people who think only getting 80% right during a lesson is not good enough, but in this method it is. You just have to have some faith. I’m happy with it so far. If it allowed sharing with Apple family it would get a 5.

Who would have thought learning a new language could be so much fun. Love the quizzes, flash card, pronunciation ratings. It is truly engaging.
  • I wish they have the words during the lessons

Being a beginning learner some of the lesson they talk fast I cannot pick up the phrase they are saying. After the lesson you can see phrases. But I wish they had the captions with the lesson playing to read along with. Or slow it down option

I enjoy the app using audio as driving or resting at night when my eyes are tired. Time management is good. Breaking down the words forwards and backwards is a good approach

I’ve enjoyed using Pimsleur with Persian and Norwegian (starting from scratch), to refresh my advanced French, Spanish and Italian, and to dabble in some other languages. It makes thinking and developing a good accent easy. My only complaint is some of the topics. How much time do we need to spend on art and fashion magazines in Italian? I would also prefer more informal vocabulary. Finally, it’s be great to be able to go further with Norwegian, Persian, European Portuguese and Romanian.

I just gave it 5 stars so you read. It’s just an audio recording telling you what to say. There’s no check to see if you actually said it. Costs a subscription
