Phase 10: World Tour

I got this game to play with my sister while she was going through chemo. We loved this game and playing it meant a lot to us. We couldn’t have the cards in the oncology unit while she was getting her chemo treatments but she could have her phone. So we found this game and was going to play while we sat together. We were so disappointed to find that playing each other would cost money. They give you a enough coins when logging in the first time, enough to play each other 3 times on a 1 phase game. The cost for a full 10 phase game was ridiculous. We were not trying to play people online or to not compete with strangers. We just wanted to play our childhood game and laugh in hard moments. She was so sad when we could play only 3 (1phase) rounds. And they were over in less than a minute. I cannot understand how you can charge to play like that. It would have been so good to have the ability to play locally like a same network , WiFi, or Bluetooth option without paying like that. I mean we would have even paid a couple dollars to “buy” the app to play but that was not an option. It’s a lot of money to play even 1 ; 10 phase round. My sister has passed now and I will never be able to play with her again. Sadly this was a memory that hurts. After receiving a reply to this let me reiterate, paying coins maybe optional and you can play for 0 times on a full 5-10 phase round. Because they do not give enough coins for that. You can play about 3-4 of the 1 phase rounds. That’s it. So no, you cannot play especially when your sister is having chemo pumped into her body to try to live and you don’t know how many rounds of cards you have left so play with her. This game was a let down on many levels. This company can keep the app. After she passed I didn’t care to ever try again. I fully discourage anyone from wasting money of this company.

Has this game for years and have loved playing it. Now there’s an add over the gameplay so you can see your cards or play the game. Very annoying!!!

One word. Addictive. Can't stop, won't stop.

The amount of ads in this game is absolutely ridiculous. Every other round an ad pops up. Can’t go into a round without an ad popping up. I am honestly about to just delete the whole game just because of the amount of ads. Downloaded it thinking it would be a fun and relaxing game but with an ad every 10 seconds it drives me crazy. (No I’m not paying $7 just to get rid of them. That is also ridiculous.)

Nice game to pass the time. However, the algorithm is designed for the computer to win majority of the time, which is frustrating to say the least. The computer tends to have all corresponding cards after drawing ONLY 1 card is annoying.

I’ve been playing this game for a while, and now with these upgrades this game is astonishing. I never felt so welcome in the beginning, and currently, I’m very happy playing this game. One flaw though. I’ve seen other games change fonts after some certain update, so I would like it if there was a new font. But still, 5 stars for all your hard work, determination, and dedication you developers put on this game.

It’s really sad that you cannot play this game without being connected to social media! Not everybody wants to be on Facebook anymore!

Your game stinks

*Update* I was leaving another review and then remembered how THIS app, out of the thousands I’ve downloaded, is still the one that infuriates me the absolute most years later. So, for fun, I went to see if the developers were still leaving the same condescending lies on their customer responses and was not disappointed. Congrats on managing to provide the same terrible service all these years later and not making a single change that addresses any of the (near identical) copious number of complaints from paying customers. Keep on grifting! 🤡 OG REVIEW: I’ve spent $50 on this game in less than 2 weeks (judge me, but I spend this monthly at minimum as part of my “fun” budget and have for years) and have nothing to show for it other than frustration and a massive contempt for the patronizing way the developers speak to their customers and their refusal to listen to the overwhelming customer suggestions all pointing to the same issues. Deleted. I’ll spend my coin on another app that treats their customers and their money better. Have fun running off your customers. This game is near perfect. The only issue is when you use real life money to purchase gems, then use those gems to purchase extra cards, only for the AI to tap completely out on the first turn leaving you with nothing but an empty wallet and nothing to show for it and moving on to the next round while your money you just spent was lit on fire. When you can’t use the items you pay real money for because of chance, that’s gambling. I don’t appreciate this. When I purchase a Wild Card, which works out to be about $0.50 in real world USD money, and the AI player makes it so I never even get a single turn, much less use the card, the card should carry over. Otherwise, this is either a gambling app or you’re stealing from your players. Fix this. Also, when you complete the last phase first with 80 points and the AI still wins with 85 points (5 MORE points), that will light your hair on fire. There are some technical quirks in addition to the transaction/money issue above, but they’re extremely minor compared to the rage I feel having real life money taken in exchange for nothing more than a case of a chapped rear end. Edited to add that reading the developer’s response to people who never even get a turn to play because of constant skips or opponents having 4 wilds and going out on the first draw that this is part of “strategy” is enraging. There is NO strategy to getting out of a losing streak when you’re never even given a chance to play. TFOH. Listen to your customers and stop talking to them like they’re idiots. What a massive turnoff.
