    But quickly becomes a game of hurry-up-and-wait after the first few levels (unless you want to pay money). Too bad!

    i’ve gotten to level 21 without spending a single penny. but i’ve had this game for maybe one-two months. you gotta be patient. Only complaint is that for the challenges (harrison’s fishing trip) (card collecting) it’s gives you duplicates of everything and you barley win anything. so annoying when you get the same cards back to back. I understand one or two duplicates but 5-10 is just insane and it’s making the game boring. if challenges are near impossible to win, it’s getting boring & frustrating. if they fixed this the game would be 5 stars.

  • Average Merge Game / Annoying Story

    I play a lot of merge games and this one is just average. It started out ok. The board and graphics are nice, you could fill a number of orders on the 100 energy you get and could level up pretty consistently. As would be expected the orders get more complex as you progress, but I believe the amount of product needed to fill orders becomes increasingly impossible to do in a reasonable amount of time. The limited energy, highly complex orders, the meager rewards for each filled order makes leveling up excruciatingly long unless you spend money. I’m not opposed to spending a little but you don’t get much for what you spend compared to other games. In regards to the storyline - that is just ridiculous and annoying. The lead charter is completely unappealing- whiny, dim-witted and wishy washy. How can she be in a love triangle? Supposedly has great detective skills but can’t pick up on obvious clues. I just fast forward and skip. Other merge games have better stories that are actually interesting.

    This app is a scam that preys on customers with in-app purchases that do not work as expected. Also the support feature does not work. Instead of a live person, you get an AI bot that stops responding to questions half way through the conversation. It feels very shady. Even the ads are misleading. More than 50% of the images shown in the screenshots are not even taken from in-game. Do yourself a favor and find another game.

    Love the game, very addicting and I actually don’t mind kicking down some cash which I do plenty. (Personal choice of course) Only complaint I have is the competition “Cook Off” was not really thought out carefully. You enter this competition when you’ve completed all your tasks and need to wait for a new update. It’s not a competition where everyone starts from the beginning meaning by the time I enter usually the top 10 or so places are already taken by players who started way before or the competition is about to end leaving not much you can do. Basically it’s there to keep you engage while waiting for new tasks to update. Overall I enjoy the game but hope they’ll improve that part of the competition.

    I’ve spent an embarrassingly large amount of my hard-earned money on this game. It’s so much fun at first—and it still is—but this current card special is ridiculous. If I hadn’t already invested money and was just playing casually, I wouldn’t even bother with the challenges. I’ve worked so hard to collect all the stars, and I’m at 105/108 with only a day left. It’s really frustrating. I’m seriously considering spending my money on other, more rewarding games.
