tbh i thought i was gonna have to save the mother and daughter but it’s just like a cooking merge game. haven’t played any scenes like the ads show. but kinda fun i guess

In your advertisements, you lie and say the game is exactly like the ads when it’s nothing like the ads.
  • Too difficult to complete events

They very wisely designed the game to where you basically have to spend money to get extra energy and rubies to help complete the extra events, but even then, good luck. They make it too hard to actually complete the events due to the excessive need to merge and the energy it takes to get the items since it runs out so fast. Would be much more fun if the extra stuff was more easily attained… not wanting it too easy, but at least attainable would be nice

I have never spend this much money on another game until this one, one hundred points of energy are spent in less than a minute and the next 100 points are at double the amount of gems. The rewards are always glitching and are not awarded. I tried filing a complaint and the picture required in order to successfully submit it can’t upload. I’m done with this game. My $5.00 dollars I spent less than 15 minutes ago are going to be the last ones.

I’ve been enjoying Gossip Harbor: Merge & Story for its engaging merge mechanics and charming storyline, which follows Quinn Castillo as she rebuilds her restaurant on Brimwave Island. The gameplay is fun, with satisfying item merging and a cozy aesthetic that keeps me coming back. The characters and narrative add a nice touch, making it more than just a standard merge game. However, the energy cap of 100 units is a major drawback. Once you use it up, progress grinds to a halt unless you purchase gems to buy more energy or wait hours for it to replenish. This makes the game feel restrictive, especially as tasks later require significantly more energy (some merges can take 400+ energy!). The ads, including claims from the developers that the game “won’t cost a dime,” are misleading. While you can technically play for free, the slow energy regeneration pushes you toward spending money to keep playing, which feels like a bait-and-switch. Additionally, the mini-games showcased in the ads are nowhere to be found in the actual game, which is disappointing and deceptive (,). The ads also misrepresent the storyline, often depicting dramatic scenarios like a struggling mom and child, which have nothing to do with the restaurant-based narrative (). This false advertising detracts from the experience, as I downloaded the game expecting something different. Overall, Gossip Harbor has potential with its fun gameplay and appealing design, but the restrictive energy system and misleading marketing need improvement. I’d recommend it for casual players who don’t mind waiting for energy refills, but the developers should increase the energy cap and align their ads with the actual game content to make it a truly great experience.

i keep getting double charged for purchases - it says it isn’t there in game, and the restore button won’t work, so i assume it doesn’t go through and try again. but it turns out it is taking my money, just not giving me the gems :/

If you can just create a game where you ONLY need to do the puzzles where you help them. You would make millions.
