Description

Keep your mind sharp with word and logic puzzles from New York Times Games. Free to download, the app offers new puzzles daily for every skill level. App Features and Games: NEW: STRANDS Our latest game lets you find hidden words and uncover the day’s theme. It’s the word search you know, with a twist. WORDLE Play the original Wordle — created by Josh Wardle — in our app. Guess the 5-letter word in 6 tries or less, and analyze your guesses with Wordle Bot. SPELLING BEE Is scrambling your strong suit? Play the daily Spelling Bee and see how many words you can make with 7 letters. THE CROSSWORD Subscribers can play the same daily puzzle that’s printed in The New York Times, in our app. Crosswords increase in difficulty throughout the week. CONNECTIONS Group words with a common thread. See if you can do it with four mistakes or fewer. SUDOKU Looking for a numbers game, minus the math? Play Sudoku and fill each 3x3 set of boxes with numbers 1 to 9. Play a new puzzle every day in easy, medium or hard mode. THE MINI CROSSWORD The Mini is all the fun of The Crossword, but you can solve it in seconds. These word puzzles don’t increase in difficulty throughout the week and feature simpler clues. TILES Unwind while you match elements in the day’s pattern — the key is to make consecutive matches. LETTER BOXED Create words using letters around the square. Letter Boxed is another fun way to test your word-making skills. STATS Track your progress for The Crossword, Wordle and Spelling Bee. For The Crossword, monitor your average solve times, see how many puzzles you can solve in a row, and more. Plus follow your streak on Wordle, and track how often you reach each level in Spelling Bee. LEADERBOARDS Start a friendly competition with The Mini leaderboards. Add up to 25 friends to see who can solve today’s Mini puzzle the fastest. PUZZLE ARCHIVE Subscribers can now solve over 10,000 past puzzles from Wordle, Connections, Spelling Bee and The Crossword. • Mangi is not a word.

I accidentally typed mangi instead of mango for wordle, and it accepted it, despite it not being an english word. For this reason alone, the app gets a one star rating. How very dare you.
  • Clean app

I love this app because it’s exactly what I pay for; a place to play games and do nothing else. No news, no breaking headlines, no ads, and no feed. It’s my sanctuary when social media gets to be too much. There’s already a lot of great feedback in other reviews that I’m sure you’re considering implementing so I won’t add to it, but I wanted to say thanks for making a truly excellent app.

Got the app and lost all my old scores. PLUS, I can’t access the bot to analyze my results. Please fix this!
  • I do like it, but maybe some changes?

As I said in the title, it’s a good game. Great for having quiet time and some fun when you strengthen your brain. But here’s what I ask of you: 1. It says my password for the account was compromised? I have an Apple ID and I checked settings, game settings, passwords app, but it doesn’t seem to load passwords app when I look on the page for changing it. Can you please help with this? Thanks. 2. Why are some parts only available for premium subscribers? Sometimes, I compare puzzles with friends to see how we both did and choose a winner based on that. With the Mini, you can see yesterday’s time and others, plus a lot farther back. But why can’t I see results for spelling bee, tiles, letter box, strands, and sudoku? This is really unfair. I don’t all the time remember my stats from other days! 😡😡😡😭😔😭😭😤🙂‍↔️And the crossword? I mean, seriously, 😒. How are people going to subscribe when it’s literally so much a year? If anybody wants to waste money on that, sure, go ahead.😔But we do need some improvements… Like, a lot of improvements.

I love these games but it's frustrating when the puzzles go to the next day's puzzles before midnight!
  • Spelling Bee

The Spelling Bee is my favorite. Next I like Wordle. I find Connections to be difficult and sometimes too opaque for me! All in all the puzzles entertain me and distract me from the horrible political scene!
  • Reset at midnight

The crossword needs to reset at midnight along with everything else. Not at 6 in the evening.
  • NYT is transphobic

NYT has helped manufacture the moral panic about trans people. The people who make the most money off this app need to do some serious self-reflection on why they feel so threatened by trans people. 🏳️‍⚧️🩷🏳️‍⚧️🩷🏳️‍⚧️🩷🏳️‍⚧️🩷🏳️‍⚧️
