I find it amazing how much sexism and ableism is distilled into this ancient game brought to modern times. Oh wait - it’s an app made by creepy developers. Makes sense I guess. Play against billionaires (gross, all men). Play against athletes (all men). Take a lesson from the chess.com avatar (always portrayed as an older dude). The lessons I’m learning are not about chess, but how the patriarchy has inserted itself into everything.

This app would be amazing if they could just add an option to switch the clock to the Left side.

This app either gives you all cupcakes or all grandmasters at the same ELO level. I have no idea if I’m good or not because there is 0 consistency in the skill level of these bots

Have played for quite some time now, and always thought this app has been a real boost to the chess community. It’s brought in a huge amount of people, but, I have noticed a large amount of cheating, usually in intermediate games, where players rated 900-1000 are making 3-5 brilliants and/or almost every top engine move per game. This honestly could be a case of a high level player making a new account, but in essence, that’s still a bad factor especially with newer chess players being unable to advance when their opponent is much higher rated than them. All in all this app has brought a lot of good to the chess community, however has its flaws, as all games of this size do. The moderation team does do their best, and I imagine catching most cheaters/rating manipulators is impossible or extremely hard, so I do definitely give them the benefit of the doubt. TLDR great app, with a small handful of problems like most apps have, but they don’t let the problem run wild, and that’s a great thing. Great work chess.com! Edit-I have also noticed a severe influx of Cheating on bullet, which is quite weird, cause either they mate in 4 as a 200 elo, or lose on time as like an 1100.
