  • Documents Won’t Save in Folders

There are a couple things I like about 365 like the “Read Aloud” feature. But this doesn’t outweigh the fact that when you create a new document and save it within a file, it doesn’t actually save there. Having AI help you write documents doesn’t save you time when you can’t organize and access the files from the locations you create. When I try saving them again, it asks if I want to replace the existing document. But when I open the folders they are always “empty.”

I used to love this app before they started adding AI. Now it freezes and crashes to the point Im actively seeking an alternative. I’ve dropped windows due to the terrible direction they’re heading now it’s just time to ditch everything Microsoft

  • Copilot Confusion

Office is of course the meter stick against which other office and productivity software is measured, but the change to add the name “copilot” and change the icon completely is very strange and confusing. There’s now two applications in the store with the same icon and the name “copilot” and it’s confusing. It’s also unclear what the “copilot” feature adds to the program as it is of questionable utility at best. I’d like to see the application icon go back to a “O” for office because that’s clear to me what I’m actually using.
  • Higher price with ads

I’ve been a paying monthly customer for a while because the cost was worth the convenience. Then they started putting ads in. Note they are boosting the price for including AI that I don’t need, while still containing ads. I guess I’ll switch back to Google sheets, which maybe includes ads and potentially AI but doesn’t cost a dime. I like the app otherwise but benefits for the price point are no longer sensical.
