    I started using Knowt at the very beginning of its founding, early on in the discord where you could get paid to upload stuff. As Knowt has developed, it has simply become Quizlet. Did I think it would be free forever, no, but now everything is behind a paywall. There used to be very few/no ads, now there’s so many the website lags. Tons of added features for flash cards and notes, but they’re all behind a paywall. I understand it isn’t profitable to create and maintain a platform with no ads, but Knowt marketed themselves as a free Quizlet alternative and they lost their mission along the way. I refuse to spend $60 a year on flash cards, notes, and even for AP review. Like I did with Quizlet, I will now jump ship to another platform until they inevitably create a paywall too. If you don’t mind paying, then it probably isn’t that bad of an app, but I hate that they have lost the free approach they had 2 years ago.

    used to be one of my favorite websites and apps until the integration of more and more ads- from pop up ads in the corner WHILE I AM STUDYING!! so distracting and completely defeats the whole point of studying. how useless

    I loved using Knowt today for my AP Physics Exam, and while I loved the simplistic, easy to follow approach the study guides used, the practice tests were… a bit of a struggle bus, on IPhone, anyway. Some questions had charts that didn’t show the data I needed to answer the question I was being asked. Other questions would have the answers wrong, where one question choice I had was flat-out just a white box, no text or anything. Others had straight up text errors. Some, even had the reasoning why it’s incorrect in the answer! I loved being able to use practice problems with Knowt, but sometimes the “explain the answer” option when a question was incorrect would end up blank, or omitting important information. The problems were decently common, as I usually had one messed up question in a set of 7. I really appreciate Knowt for what it is, but the problems that arose while I was studying are enough to bar me from giving a 5. Wonderful app, despite this!

    Knowt is my ride or die study app. It has everything. Not having to pay to take practice tests was amazing, and they even let me import flashcards on other sites. You can put whatever pictures you want, without paying for it. They also have a lot of AP ressources. Knowt feels like it was made by a student.

    I was able to cram the entire apush curriculum apes curriculum and aplang skills in a week before the exam (not without the cost of my sanity) It’s great all around from the notes to the mcq practice quizes. But the best help has been the frq practice room for the website, the ai explaining what you get wrong, where you lost points, and the way its used the rubric, really helps you understand how to succeed on your actual exam. (Please bring frq practice to the mobile app though)

    I found this app last year when I was frantically studying for AP World, and I’ve been a loyal user ever since. I got a 4 on that test, and it’s all because of Knowt. Before I started using it, I couldn’t even keep the timelines straight. I used it for AP English and comp this year, and while I don’t have the score back yet, I felt quite confident going into it. Thank you Knowt!
