  • Still a bad idea to gatekeep warscrolls

    App's decent, but too paywalled. Warscrolls should be visible for your opponent. It'd evn be free advertisinf for them on your next army!

    I can't sign into mywarhammer.com through the app to get the content I purchased. It doesn't allow me to type anything and most of the links cannot be clicked. Please fix this issue, I'd really like to use this app.

  • Functional and easy to use

    I use this app every game. Even when my battle tome is sitting right under my phone. It’s quick and easy to use, the search function has come in clutch many times. To get the most out of the app, you do need a Warhammer+ subscription. It’s worth it to me, but your mileage may vary. I collect the battletomes for the army’s I play, and my opponents bring their battletomes for reference, so while I wish there wasn’t a paywall, in the end it doesn’t effect my enjoyment or the game or usefulness of the app.

    For some reason, GW thinks it’s a good idea to keep profiles hidden behind a paywall. Do they not understand that if profiles were open to all, it would only help to encourage players to buy a new army?

    The app is actually good, but GW made this a double paywall app and it is criminal. You have to have a Warhammer+ subscription to make lists and then buy a $50 battletome just to see the rules. You can’t even look up your opponents warscrolls unless you buy their battletome. AoS popularity is already diminishing because of this. RIP AoS

  • Buggy and convoluted

    This newer version of the app is worse in every way than the old one. Harder to find information and excessive use of drop-down menus. Worse of all it is extremely buggy. It frequently seems to forget I am a subscriber and limits access of features. Even when I select that I am a subscriber, it does not correct itself.

  • Have to buy the app 3 times to get any use of it

    First you need to actually buy a 60/year SUBSCRIPTION to use the app in any meaningful way. Then you need to buy a 50 dollar rulebook to now get access to the information IN the app. THEN you need to buy the actual units which go anywhere from 25-150 dollars EACH to use the information on the app. Terrible business practice, terrible app, terrible everything do not recommend spending any money on this company or this app.

  • Everytime I see an update my heart sinks

    Each time there is an update they block information/warscrolls/etc for the general player base. You can’t use the app to verify if your opponent is being honest about their units because you’d have to buy every single book once they come out. You can only ever have 1 list at a time so if you want to army craft with multiple armies you’re better off using literally anything else, even a piece of paper and a pencil. This app was actually 4 stars before they started hiding information behind one time use codes in $50 books. They ought to just give you the digital rules for free because it’s a boardgame, but because of greed I would at least appreciate the option option to pay for the digital rules for a faction on the app for like $5. Warhammer + should just give a person access to all the rules anyway, but that would be too consumer friendly for the mega-corporation that is GW.
