I saw this app from an ad on TikTok and I’m disappointed. They said it was free - didn’t say it was just free to download. I’m not paying any expensive subscriptions.

Based off the adds I thought this was a free app to help you with activities for your baby nope you have to spend 75 dollars to get any information just feels like a scam to me
  • Not so helpful beyond the baby stage; quality of some live content has declined… and why WhatsApp

I loved Kinedu the first year I had it, when my son was a baby. But during the toddler stage, it hasn’t been as valuable. Very little content and live little classes are targeted to parents of children older than the newborn and baby stages. The in-app activities are helpful, but the automatic recommendations are frequently off and I keep having to adjust them, despite keeping my child’s developmental milestones updated. Moreover, the quality and consistency of the live classes has declined over the past year. Live play sessions are fewer and fewer, and I miss Andrea’s sessions and her wisdom. I also miss psychologist Alice Ravize. Other psychologists have come and gone, and it’s not the same since she left. Other problems I have: - community features being removed in favor of AI. I miss having direct access to other members of the Kinedu community through the app, especially as I’m back at work and can’t join as many of the live classes as I used to. I wish Kinedu kept some form of asynchronous community interaction. - update: they now have WhatsApp groups for announcements and engagement, and I don’t get it. Why is this necessary? Why can’t this happen within the Kinedu app? I probably won’t be renewing Kinedu Premium next year, since my son will already be three and a half.

This used to be my favorite app. Now it’s pop up after pop up pushing you endlessly to subscribe. Nothing on it is free anymore.

I saw numerous ads calling this free, so I decided to check it out. Can’t even do that without agreeing to a $79.99 annual charge.

  • Skeptical at first but worth it

I was skeptical at first about spending the money for premium to do the like classes but found that it was incredibly worth it. The instructors this app has are very interactive AND you can join the class no matter the age of your baby. I appreciate that the lessons are held by experts in the field and not just random instructors. Example: sign language is taught by an ASL teacher of 10+ years and crawling tip and tricks was taught by an occupational therapist.
