Took the placement test, they only ask you three questions, which I know for a fact I got all three right bc I’ve taken higher level soanish courses in college but I’m not quite at the level of fluency that i want to be at, and they placed me in A2 learning, explain it to me like I’m 5, in what world does 3 questions accurately place you within a language learning level?

The recent changes have made this app awful. Learning Plan is gone. Difficult to find lessons. Can’t get back to where you left off. Reviews and refresher are words never included in lessons.

Spaced repetition is a great way to learn any new skill. I like how this all jumps around topics and you can focus on certain areas. Plus, they have an Al feature to help with navigating conversations!

I’m so confused that I am not retaining anything when it comes to grammar. I’m about ready to give up.

I feel like some people want to learn more than just a couple languages I might use it if you add the Japanese language
  • So bugged again

If you don’t have the mic enabled (I can’t talk) then it auto plays through all the words you’re supposed to learn. Up until yesterday’s update you could click to hear the translation as many times as needed before going to the next word. Now it’s stuck on auto play unless I turn the mic back on.

You pay $120 for a full year and half the time it gets rid of your streaks I’ve been doing this for about three months. Haven’t missed a day and on random days suddenly my streak is just disappeared This has happened three or four times and it is very
  • Woke agenda - parents beware

I purchased this app to allow my children to familiarize themselves with the language as we moved to a country where they speak a different language than ours. Unbeknownst to us, this app is pushing a nasty lgbtq agenda that goes against family values. It wouldn’t be a big problem but I ended up purchasing different licenses for my children but nowhere in any of their ads do they mention their wokeness. I do not support this agenda and my money is now being used to promote this garbage. The company needs to reimburse all of us who are not OK with this delusion. Outside of that, it has been a great software but the underlying agenda is truly disgusting. Update after developer’s response. The developer acknowledges their disgusting hidden agenda but failed to disclose this during any initial advertising pre purchase, many wholesome families are not aware of this so parents beware. To the developers: be clear about your intentions and stop hiding your biased ideology and provide me with a refund for my accounts immediately- I have contacted support with no response so far so I have lowered my star rating as a result.
  • Not good for heritage speakers

I am already 80% fluent in spanish. I learned at home since I was born, but never received a proper foundation. I was thinking the app could place me at my level, but keeps placing me at beginner after asking only 3 questions. I would consider my self fluent and know the level I was placed at is well below my own. I would really love for a language app to meet me where I’m at. I enjoy the AI feature but not enough to subscribe.
