great app but needs a little improvement. please make a feature where i can delete all the photos that have already been backed up EXCEPT the ones that are in an album, sometimes i like to keep certain photos on my device. or make it to where google photos creates albums that i already have on my device. overall, great app!

I would love to have the option to add text to and draw on the photos when I am editing them, as the Android version allows.

Trying to add several photos to a Google photo album shared with me was difficult because it could not see my favorite photos from Apple photos. So, I enabled synchronizing favorites between Apple photos and Google photos. The next day, my Google account was completely full because it had tried to sync 15 GB worth of photos. Going through Google Photos to delete was an extremely tedious process as there is no good UI for handling that. And then the worst thing happened — it had also deleted all of those photos from Apple photos. Fortunately, I was able to recover them from the deleted folder in Apple photos, and the very next thing I did was remove permissions to my photos and uninstalled this terrible app.

Needed to download some photos sent to me, google photos then linked my entire gallery to itself, taking up all my storage. Forcing me to buy more storage, or delete all the photos through google photos, which forces me to delete all the photos on my phone. Will never use this again.

Its a horrible app absolutely worthless. Slow crashes Screen freeze is ridiculous. Why does it have an option to turn on “stacks” at anytime but not an option to merge the 1000’s of duplicates google photos downloads over and over so I have to buy more storage! The one thing thats true about google employees you’re all LIARS. Corporate double speak is lying.

PLEASE READ BEFORE DOWNLOADING THIS APP There is no way for me to unsync google photos/ refuse it access from my iPhone photos gallery. I cannot find anywhere in my settings to unsync/ refuse access. (And if you can it’s jumping through many hoops to get this parasite of an app of your back). There is also no place on the app to unsync your photos. There is only a place to turn off backup (which stops uploading your photos to google photos once you turn it off). I’ve been reading online forums, and reading other input elsewhere from many very outraged people, I found out that since I cannot unsync my photos first, if I delete any photos off of google photos, they will be permanently deleted from my iPhone and iCloud. This is insane and honestly should be illegal. As anyone else would be, I was under the impression that if I allow something access in settings, I can just turn it off later, like everything else I’ve downloaded. But no! I genuinely cannot find in my photos settings, google photos settings, and other settings, a way to refuse google photos access to my iPhone photos. Also, you can only select one photo at a time on google photos. So if you want to delete all of your photos off of there or move more than one to an album or something, you should probably have a lot of time on your hands! Please also be aware that if you delete something from your photos, even if you’ve emptied your trash, it will not delete off of google photos too. If anyone knows a way I can unsync google photos from my photos on my iPhone despite not having a way to from my settings, please lmk.

I tried to delete my album, but the old one kept showing up. And the photos all stuck in partially upload status. There also wasn’t any thing showing the current upload status. Really bad user experience.
