  • Mac version = Apple life

As difficult as it may be to admit: your Mac exists in your home and work life because Microsoft bothered to care. Outlook for Mac is on a par with Outlook for Windows. That’s not a small thing. It’s air in the lungs of the Mac and Apple. Be grateful.
  • Looks good - buttons misplaced

This is a good looking interface update to a reliable mail app BUT the UI is horrible. Buttons are not in the places you would expect them and in some cases are in the middle of a window (try forwarding in invitation to see what I mean). This is horrible interface design.

The functionality is generally fine. However, I find the reliability not so great. The app frequently becomes unresponsive on my MBP M3 Max, and it routinely causes instability across the OS. Once I reboot, everything returns to normal. This only happens when using Outlook. If I keep Outlook unopened, I have zero issues. Wish it wasn’t so, and wish I had a better alternative for work M365, but it is what it is.

I didn't ask for this feature and now cannot uninstall it from being on my computer. Microsoft is scraping all actions on my computer for their profiteering. If there was an alternative option for my work, i would switch

  • Good, Not Great!

UX/UI is not the most intuitive. Works well, but the conglomeration of ALL SERVICES (mail, calendar, contacts, notes, etc.) in one single service is cumbersome and not user friendly. Fancy themes does not make up for the functionality. Some basic services are missing (e.g. really good filters)
  • Stop the Calendar Chaos: Let Us Control What Shows Up!

People at large institutions know the struggle—dozens of calendar invites flood in weekly, cluttering your schedule until you respond. I only recently learned that deleting them is the same as declining, so organizers assume you said no. My calendar was 80% useless mass-invites, drowning out important events. Gmail and Apple let you show only RSVP’d events, so I moved everything from Outlook to Google Calendar. Now, my schedule is clean. I don’t get why Microsoft allows others to fill your calendar without consent. Honestly, email should work the same way, but whatever. After 15 years with Outlook, I’m all in on Google Calendar.
