  • The worst mountain bike app

Get pro version for a year, terrible app
  • Constant “maintenance in progress”

I’ve used this app for years and it worked well. For the past week all of the maps say “maintenance in progress.” There’s no way to see trails or data. I’ve emailed support twice with no response. Not worth an annual subscription if this is what you get.
  • Google maps still provides better details

Tough when your out on a trail and the trail is all you see. But by chance you have cell service and google maps saves the day. Pro subscription should come with Pro level maps.
  • Expensive for no reason

Back when it was free, I’d have highly recommended Trailforks. Since they started charging significant money for it, the app has not seen any notable improvements. It’s actually become less useful as the number of reports submitted is far less than it used to be, due to the limited number of paying users. I caved and paid for a year of Pro a couple months ago before an international trip. When I tried to use the app again recently, it wouldn’t share info on my local trails and tried to prompt me to upgrade to Pro, despite my active membership. What an insult! No way will I ever pay for Trailforks again.
  • Zero value if local orgs hide legal trails

Garbage app that hides every trail. I’ve watched slowly as legal trails just disappear from the app. Regional orgs hide trails that are blazed and approved by the local DCNR. Zero ability to contest hidden trails and local orgs power is absolute. Absolute trash, application.
  • Getting more use on it

Taking more time to use the application as a steward of trails in my region to post conditions. There is still a bit of clunkiness to the interface and having faster access to get into the trail conditions post from the ride tracking screen would be a big feature improvement.
  • Annoying additions

I pay for using this app. I wish you respected my privacy and didn’t automatically opt me in to anything. I only want this app to help me find trails and track my activities. Anything more than that detracts from my experience when using it. It really pisses me off that when new “features” are added that you make it so I’m automatically opted in. This is a consistent pattern with software. I don’t want to be automatically opted in to anything! If I want more than the basic experience then I want a “features” section in the settings where I can turn on additional features. I do not want them turned on by default.

    Perfectly executed. Easy to use
  • Great app but pricing increased too much

The app is great for Mountain Biking. With lots of local knowledge. But the latest price increases of the pro version are ridiculous. I cancelled my subscription.
  • Great maps and ride recording capability.

Note: Version 2024.4.2 (9-4-24) fixed the problem I was having with the 2024.4.1 version!! I only use the app to record my rides/walks and to save them. I use the TrailForks website to view the routes and make use of all the website features. Excellent app!
